I just received my Acer Aspire 8930G and have started to boot it up. However, Vista is acting super weird. It is extremely hard for me to select anything because whenever I press a button, all of the choices are highlighted and shuffle. For example, when I decided to back up my files, I asked me if I wanted to continue and I press Yes. After pressing Yes, it didn't go, it started shuffling between Yes and No. Anyone know how to fix this?

I don't think a screenshot would do it justice. More like a video. Well, I am backing up my files right now after some careful timing. It hasn't been acting up since I've started backing up my files. But I'll post anyways if someone else has this same problem. For example, there are three checkboxes. I check one of them and click continue. But after clicking continue, the checkboxes would shuffle between the three possible choices. It's really weird. Sorry I'm not being very descriptive. And thank you for the kind welcome.

Sounds like the tab button playing up, not stuck is it?

Yes, another "Blame Vista for everything that's not even related to it" thread. Aren't these out of fashion now, considering it's 2009?

@the OP:
Have you tried booting in safe mode to see if it wasn't caused by something running in the background? -
You might also check to see if your touchpad is set to be too sensitive, and if the mouse buttons are working properly; it could be a matter of adjusting the sensitivity of the controls from the control panel applet, or, if you're unlucky, a physical problem with them. I had a somewhat similar problem once when my cursor started acting like it was possessed - moving all over the screen by itself and not responding well when I tried to use the touchpad - I finally discovered that an internal screw had worked itself loose and the problem went away when I tightened the screw back.

It could be your trackpad, my housemate's Acer's touchpad is pretty wonky...
