I'm going to be ordering a laptop soon (sager NP2090) but I have some quick questions before I do.

First of which, what are the differences between Vista Home Premium and Business? I'm a student at college, planning on using my laptop for studies and gaming, but the sample configurations the university advises all have Business on them, so I'm not sure what do get.

The other question is whether to install the 32-bit or 64-bit OS. I plan on getting 4GB RAM, and as I understand it, the 32-bit won't use all of it. But I also hear that the 64-bit has incompatability issues and (supposedly) won't run many of the games I want it to (almost all of them are designed for XP). So what should I expect from each type of OS in terms of gaming and how much memory it will be able to use?

XP, Vista, and all 32 OS use 3.2GB of RAM. 64GB uses 2^64 (which is plenty for now). VHP is fine for uni. The Business edition is for large corporations with complex networks

Vista 32 can address 4 gigs, its just that many laptops cannot.
