much ado about nothing - i m afraid
manufacturers have been giving months if not years of info about vista, it is amazing that many are still not uptodate with their drivers
as regard to moving to linux/mac, if it is not for the pool of dedicated "free" and mac hardware developers out there that tweak many of the drivers to work on these platform, it would be just as dead
sorry, vista has a new rule, and as long as windows is still playing an important role in getting users buying new hardware devices, the manufacturers should get their speed up. And with the list of hardware compatibility growing more and more each day - the article is just a baby.crying outlet for the ones that are still sitting on their derriere.
in a way i think that it is good that vista forces the hardware manufacturer to really work on their drivers and not just kinda make it "quasi" compatible, as we have seen in previous windows versions as well
my 2 cents (running triple.boot on my system xp.home-vista rtm-suse10.1)
cheers ... -
Wow, what a bunch of crap.
I've noticed better sound, cpu usage is pretty much nothing, and it calls it the longest suicide note in history?
So it thinks microsoft will die from Vista?
LMAO at that site.
BTW, what the hell does cpu usage and sound degrading or not hafta do with drm anyway?
Just a bunch of Microsoft bashers throwing a hissy fit. -
And this is a surprise how?
We all know Microsoft can't do anything right. -
