    Vista defrag utility...

    I really don't like the new defrag utility in Vista. It was much better in XP.
    The main reason I don't like it, is that when i'm defragging, all I see is 'defragmenting...'
    no percentage, no time estimate. just a dot-dot-dot ...

    any suggestions? Alternate defrag program (preferably free, payware if necessary), perhaps?

    well i know of this defrager called "auslogics disk defrag". havent tried it but its supposed to be free. google the name and it should come up

    theres a few that are vista approved

    and ive tested tons of em on my vista home premium

    this is hands down the best defrag program for vista and XP in my opinion


    "O&O Defrag"


    its not free...but well worth the investment
