after having issues with vista's dual monitoring capabilities. I think i've hit another problem with vista.

Today i was using fireFTP for my website ( www.SClyC.com (yay free advertisement)) anyways I transfered some files to my desktop, but when i looked for them on my desktop... they weren't there! ( if anyone is familiar with fireFTP i hit refresh a couple times just to make sure they were there )

after a computer restart they finally showed up. but when I was done with those files, and went to throw them out...... they wouldn't leave my desktop. I tried opening them, and i got an error message saying they didnt' exist anymore. After playing around some I found the "right click + refresh" option. anyways. I guess my desktop doesn't want to refresh after I do anything to it now. >.< anyone know how to fix it?
    thanks all
