    All the critical errors seem to be based upon boot and shut down.

    Here is a XML log event id 100 which occurs on boot, I'm not sure if it helps.

    And one from event 200 shutdown;

    no, it didn't

    The critical events are the final result of the warnings, which actually give more information on what files are loading slower than normal. Reading the raw xml files I cannot recall which one is telling us the length of startup and length of shutdown.

    In many cases, these are not anything to worry about. Windows is telling you, "I think I should be starting faster and these are the metrics of what happened at the last boot." or "I think I should be shutting down faster and these are the metrics of what happened at the last shutdown."

    Look in the previous events to see what is taking longer than expected.

    For example, you will see "Windows Explorer took longer than normal to start" or who knows what.

    Most of the time, these are poorly implemented third party applications like ATIs control panel, but sometimes, it will be something else that requires investigation.

    Does your computer take unusually long to boot up or shutdown?

    Well today yes for both. Shutdown used to be about 10 seconds max now about 30. Boot was aobut 30 now its about 90 seconds atleast. For no real reason, and I got a BSOD with the error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

    Edit: I just ran a reliability and performance test and I'm failing in the network configured fail count and plug and play device configured fail count but device manager says everytihng is fine.

    Then check the preceding events for clues.

    100 events are general, and 10X (x=different than 0) are specific. Same with 200

    I think that 100 are startup events, 200 are shutdown events, and 300 are...hibernation? I cannot recall 300 dang...where's my freaking coffee.

    As for irql...it probably created a mindump file

    C:\Windows\Minidump

    attach it
