HI, I have recently bought my laptop and it's on Vista.

As I was a XP user for quite a while, took me some time to get round the Vista but there's one thing that I really dun like in Vista. It's the folder preview style.

You know when you have pictures inside the folder, the OS automatically read it and show it in the folder preview yeah?

In XP, it used to be a retangular folder and pictures situated inside just plain 2D style, nice and easy.

But in vista, it's in 3D and looks like as if you are look it from the side. Very annoying.

Is it possible to switch it back to XP style?

    Thanks

Right click folder, customize. There is an option at the bottom for changing the icon.

You can set folder view and file views to display however you wish. At the Explorer Window's Menu, select "View", then click on whatever view you wish to see the folders/files with: Tiles, Details, List, Small/Medium/Large/Extra Large Icons. Also, if you right click on each header, you can remove/add what column headers you wish to view.

You can also right click on a folder and select Customize to make the folder icon whatever you want, or use another folder as a template to change that folder's look and style.

Your Theme settings also have a lot to do with how your windows, folders, etc. appear. Go to Control Panel - Personalization, and then Theme to change things Windows-wide.

Thanks for the reply. But whatever i change it to, it will still be 3D
The XP one is 2D and just display the pics in 2D (even I dun assigned one, XP will search the pic and display them accordingly)
