Got my first Vista PC the other day and I'm loving it. One small problem, every time I turn on my computer, I get a stupid little security notification thing about how my User Account Controls are turned off. I purposely turned it off since it is so damn useless and pointless. I don't wish to be notified anymore about this. Unfortunately the only way to stop this notification, that I can see at least, is to turn off all of all alerts (which I don't want to do). Is there a way to create an exception to stop just this one notification?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hopefully linky will be of help. And yeah I get it too - but I only restart like once a week so it doesn't bother me much

That unfortunately turns off all notifications. I still want to be updated about security, but just not about something I purposely turned off.

I know what you are asking about but in vista AFAIK it is "all or nothing" when it comes to security center notifications. So you either have them on or off.
I have personally set mine to don't notify me and don't show the icon as I myself monitor antivirus, firewall etc and I also have UAC turned off. -
I see. Well that's a shame.
Thanks anyway guys. I appreciate the info. -
You're welcome anytime
