    Can you please tell me what are defaults settings in MSCONFIG (run msconfig)?

    General: is it Normal, selective or diagnostic

    Boot: How much is timeout?

    normal startup loads EVERYTHING!

    i'd suggest going on over to the boot tab and unchecking programs that you dont want to load(if you don't know what the program does, i'd suggest leaving it, or doing a google seard =D), this will select "selective startup" by itself.
