    Hey all,

Okay well my system has been 100% flawless..

I ran windows update, installed the updates, then all was good. There was one optional update, junk mail folder thing so I got it just for the hell of it. While it was downloading and doing it's thing - I was browsing the net.

Suddenly the machine completely locked up. no sounds, no beeps nothing froze.

So I force shutdown after waiting a few minutes. Start back up - everything is good. 10 minutes later, bam lock up again.

    Any ideas..

it might have corrupted the update when it froze the first time
try doing a system restore to the point before you installed the update
