dont put a password for your account and it will boot directly to the desktop. if you want password, but want to remembered so you dont have to type it each time, refer to the following instructions:
"click the Start sphere, then enter "cmd" in the search box. In the Command Prompt window write "control userpasswords2" and hit enter.
Windows Vista will now ask you to elevate the privileges of the process so do it and you will be face to face with a window for User Accounts. Toward the top you will be able to see the option "users must enter a username and password to use this computer." Select the account you wish to alter and then uncheck the option. You will then be prompted with an Automatically Log On window, in which you will have to enter your name and password." -

One question remain...
I have a wireless conection and need a password to access my docs in the desktop. Removing the password will release the access in that machine to everybody, right? -

if you have the same user and same password on both systems, you can connect without password from one to the other (if the share rights are correct that you can access it
).
then you can make the autologin the way i've written and only you can access the shares, but you never have to type your password. -
Thanx

Whats the difference between the way the OP wants and just not setting a password for the account, I don't get it
