    Vista networking help

    I just bought an Asus W3S today but I cant seem to get it to find any network connections for wireless internet. Anyone know how to fix this? I got discovery on but it still wont work. My sisters HP dv6000 seems to work so I dunno is it a Vista thing or somethin wrong wit my Asus

    You running a firewall? Take it to another network to see if it works there.

    I have tried that it still dont see any network around :S

    Try pinging the individual IP addresses of the computers on the network.

    Is the router set to NOT broadcast its SSID? If the router is not broadcasting the SSID, you'll need to manually add the network information in the Manage Wireless Connections dialog. Just make sure you have the SSID (Network Name) and know the security information that you'll need to connect.

    I don't know why but every once in a while Vista decides to turn off Wireless. I don't know what part of Vista needs to be told not to do this, but it could be your problem.
