I still can't beleive the Intel GMA 900 GPU cannot handle the 3d windows and transparency effects, I think it should be able to.

Thanks, Ivan.

Nice screens.

Really looking great (to me at least) but if you need to sell your soul and upgrade ad infinitum I might wait until my next laptop... which won't be coming in the near future because my dv5000z is one month old
If at the very end MS thinks a very tiny bit about its consumers and provide a good option for the upper-end machines of today, I might switch. -
My Pentium M 1,86GHz, Ati x700 128MB DDR and 2GB Ram worked fine. 12GB on disk. Around 700MB allocation in RAM. Windows only.
Boots faster than xp, and works fast too (I mean animations). But it is too much if you ask me. I don't even want to think of gaming requirements.
Cheers,

they ditched the name of the folder/file in the top bar? what's the point of it being there at all (translucent or not) if it holds no info?

Thanks ikovac,
The one pic looks like widgets. lol Vista sure looks beautiful. That is nice to know that it works on your system since it is almost the same as min.

Personally, I think Windows are losing their own style. It looks like their copying Mac..
But somehow, I don't know why I like it... the 3D effect looks pretty good. I am a wired person!!

i hope the performance rating tool rates on 1-5, otherwise, that is pretty bad, a powerful computer only being rated 3.

Yes -my notebook got every single mark over 4, but total was first 3, and after a update - 2.

Looks pretty cool but a couple of questions: What does the "Windows Vista Ultimate" mean? Did they ditch the sidebar for those widget like things?
