Man does it SUCK in Vista or what? Under XP I could selectively pick WHICH photos I wanted to import. With Vista it's all or nothing. I tried copying the old XP app to Vista to see if it would run. It didn't... sigh.

Vista seems to assume that all my photos on my camera were shot at the same time and should be named and tagged the same. It ignores the fact that MOST of us shoot a couple (or more) events and THEN import our photos.

Has anyone found a simple import app that mimics the SELCETIVE way XP did imports?

I could care less personally. I just let Vista tag it as 001 or 002. I'll sort it out later.

Which takes at least three to five times as long. It's not just the tagging. It uses the same name for the entire batch and adds them all to the same folder. Not very helpful if you have photos from more than one event on your camera when you do the import.
