I like to keep my power profile on my laptop set at 'Power Saver', for obvious reasons, unless I need to boost it up. For some reason, every time I boot up, the profile sets itself to 'High Performance'. I've just noticed this starting recently. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

Are you be chance using an Nvidia driver from laptopvideo2go.com?

There have been a few of their drivers lately that messed up the power, shutdown, and sleep settings.

Other than checking the registry, you might check the Bios to see what the settings are there.

    This has apparently been fixed.
