I have 2 os ( XP, and Vista) load into the mine dell E1505 T7200 2GB ram 256mb video card.
Testing internet speed on both OS, and here is the result
    1. Under XP Down: 956Kb/sec
    2. Under Vista Down: 798Kb/sec ( even I turn off Phising, and Protected mode)
    Anyone notice this?
    ???

Hmm I did not. Maybe its a compatibility problem with your router or something? IT'd be interesting to see if other people experience the same thing...

Vista's new network stack does seem to perform slower than XP's. (Check Anandtech.com's recent Vista vs XP review for the exact numbers.) In general, XP performed better, unless you enabled a few "tweaks" that are disabled by default because not all routers and servers may be able to handle this modified TCP protocol. If you did that, you'd get *slightly* better network performance with Vista.
