I have Vista Premium x64 installed on my system. I did a clean install yesterday and downloaded all the latest drivers, including the Power Manager utility, which contains a battery meter icon, and everything was normal. I then ran a windows update and upon completion, the Thinkpad Power Manager battery meter has become transparent/barely visible.

Has anyone else noticed any type of Vista taskbar quirk?

Disabling the Aero transparency feature does not solve the problem. I wonder which update could have caused the problem?

Is the the same issue you raised in this post, or something different?

It's the same. I just wanted to bring attention to it over here in the OS forum to see if it's a Lenovo error or vista error. If no one else has experienced this phenomenon, then i know where the problem lies.
