I currently have Windows Vista Business 32bit OEM with my Dell laptop installed on a 40GB C:/ partition.
I'm planning to upgrade to Windows 7 and can't really understand if I can make a clean install to Windows 7 Professional Upgrade Edition from HERE

Is it possible to wipe clean (format) C:/ during the install process and then install a fresh copy of win7 pro?

Also I guess 40GB will be more than enough, cause right now with Vista it is a bit tight.

    Thank you.

When I was upgrading from Vista Home Premium x86 (That's 32-bit btw) to Windows Ultimate x86, there is 2 options.

You can save your files/programs/settings, and upgrade to Win7.

Or you can do a fresh install of Win7, which will erase all of your files/documents/setting/basically everything you had, and it will install Win7 fresh.

And 40GB is enough, the minimum for Win7 is 16GB's I believe. Although that doesn't really leave a whole lot of room for stuff (unless you don't plan on doing much gaming).
