I'm getting microsoft office at the ultimate steal for 65$ CDN, and when I went to download it, there was also an offer of Microsoft Windows Vista ® Ultimate UPGRADE w/SP1 for 70$.

So do you guys think this is the complete vista ultimate 64bit? Seems like a pretty low price, but it's a student discount too..
And can I download this to like a dvd and use it for my new laptop that doesn't have any OS yet?

It's not the standalone installer, but an upgrade disc. You'll need a valid version of Vista Home, Premium or Business to upgrade to Ultimate.

that's not vista?? that's microsoft office..

He was asking about the other product, Windows Vista Ultimate Upgrade w/ SP1 which is under Additional Products on the left column.

Check the Support site for you particular system configuration before even thinking about doing the update - most manufacturers have specific system procedures for doing a Vista update/upgrade, and if you don't follow them, you could be back here asking us why your system suddenly doesn't work.
At which time you'll get a lot of smarta$$ comments that you should've checked your Support site for specific procedures before you updated.

The disks are all the same, it's the serial number that makes it what it is
But Vista HP OEM is like $100 so you could get that.
Vista ultimate for 70$ CDN?
