New Samsung Q35 laptop came with Windows Vista Home Premium.
ALSO with trial version of Office 2007.
I have a desktop Sony that I bought an upgrade of Windows Office 2003 for and upgraded the Sony from Works to full Office.
Can I use the upgrade I bought to install on my Q35 and will it give me Office 2007 or just Office 2003?
Do I need Works (which is NOT on the Q35 and I do not want to buy a copy of!) to do this?
Quite like the Office 2007 but don't want to pay for that - especially as I upgraded the Sony!
Help much appreciated here in sunny Sarf London.

Okey, the rather odd Office license allows you to install to one "licensed device" and one "portable use device." So you can easily install Office 2003 on your new Samsung. You'll need to buy a new license to get Office 2007, though. You could buy another upgrade copy though (for Office 2007), to use on both machines.

Thanks - bit slow on this .... BUT does this mean I simply install my upgrade disk of Office 2003 onto my Q35 and it will install?
Or do I have to have Works (which I don't have) to use the upgrade of 2003 on the new machine?
Hope this makes sense!
