Yes, I did search the forums, and couldn't really find anything conclusive.

I have an HP 6910p (specs are in the sig) and am wondering if switching from Vista Business to XP Pro would give me any noticeable battery gain. I have disable aero, and super fetch in Vista which seemed to help the battery life a little, right now it stands at about 4 hours with the 6 cell, wireless on, screen set at 50%.

So would it be worth it to switch back to XP pro for more battery life, or should I just stick with Vista?

Technically, Vista is supposed to be more battery efficient.

However, in the real world, there isn't really a difference between the two OS's.

It depends a lot of the laptop, some just stand longer on Vista, others on XP, most likely old ones. On my laptop Vista seems to be far more efficient with battery than XP.
