This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Vista wireless connection icon

    I seem to have lost the wireless connection icon that's usually located in the taskbar on the bottom right. I realize that I can just go to Start>Connect if I need to manage my connections and VPN's, but I'm curious as to how I can get that icon back. More so for convenience than anything else.

    And yes, I did click the little arrow to expand the whole thing and show all icons. It's still not there :p

    Right-click the Taskbar, go to Properties > Notification Area > System icons > make sure Network is checked.
