I am no longer able to access wireless networks and my screen flickers and kills aero when the host process ends.

I googled the problem and the best I could come up with is that microsoft will address the issue with sp1 for vista. I tried doing a clean install but I still get the problem. I use my laptop only on the go so it is pretty much worthless to me without wireless internet.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I forgot to mention, I re-loaded ThinkVantage Access Connections in an attempt to solve this problem. I'll have to wait until tomorrow when I go to work to determine whether having ThinkVantage manage my network connections will solve the problem.

I don't know what the specific problem is, but svchost handles system services. You can view and edit which services run in Control Panel > System & Maint. > Administrative Tools > Services. You may want to try shutting off anything you know you don't need and aren't part of Windows, especially any Lenovo stuff, and things you know aren't critical, e.g. iPodService and other Apple services if you have iTunes installed. (You can always turn it on again later.) Not that I know of any problems with those companies' services but those are examples of non-essential stuff that didn't come with Windows.
