    I just got a new 1520. To my horror, the wireless was totally screwy. If you are having problems with vista wireless- this may be the fix for you. It worked for me. Follow the following steps,

    1. Click StartStart button, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then click regedit in the Programs list.
    (User Account Control permission If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.)
    2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{GUID}
    In this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.
    3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
    4. In the New Value #1 box, type DhcpConnDisableBcastFlagToggle, and then press ENTER.
    5. Right-click DhcpConnDisableBcastFlagToggle, and then click Modify.
    6. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
    7. Close Registry Editor.

    Reboot and enjoy!!! I am happy as a lark after fixing this one. What a pain in the ass. The above instructions can also be found at;

    It took me awhile to find this. Isn't Vista just the best OS ever? hahahahaha... I hate Vista! Oh, and another thing- when you get to the (guid) part- there will be like 4 options, all a bunch of letters and numbers ... For me, the wireless card was the first one. If you know how to find your wireless card guid, you can use that number to select the right option. Otherwise, I would bet it's the first one. Anyone who knows how to get the registry guid for a wireless card, please post below!

    It is against the rules to ask for positive rep.

    Also against the rules to double post, though this could be helpful to some people, unlike the majority which asks a question.
