Can't seem to find anything on this.
I've been getting the error for multiple programs and everything but Microsoft installers (most other installers don't work) and a few other programs on my brothers computer. He says that it started to happen after an adobe reader update.
It says
(programname) - bad image
C:/windows/system32/nlaapi.dll is either not designed tor run on windows or it contains an error. Try Installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.
I cannot make a Hijack this log since it prevents me from installing anything on it. Originally it kept popping up with a java task so i uninstalled java.
I have tried to copy the dll file from my computer (x86) and a friends computer (x64) to replace the corrupted one but when I do that it causes an access denied error where all user setting disappear.
(Desktop disappears and taskbar turns grey, it could be that I need to modify user permissions but not sure how to do it properly).
Vista recovery disk Does not work to fix it before or after I have swapped the dlls.
(I returned the corrupted dll to the system folder)
The file on the corrupted computer is 60kb instead of the usual 47-48kb.
No restore point exists before that adobe update.
The model is a toshiba A305 4gb ram t5750 intel processor
If anyone knows whats wrong please let me know. Your help is appreciated.
