Is there any way to disable switching between users in Vista?

When I "lock my computer", it gives the option to switch users...
It's just, to me, it doesn't even really seem like it's locked when someone could just click 'switch user' and then log in to another account or choose the guest account.

Do you have more then one account? Disable Guest account. I have an admin and a user account both with password. When I lock it I can switch too but since both users have a password i feel safe.

Also if you mean that you want to turn on that ctr+alt+del thing that Windows has and not the logon screen that shows all the users do this:

go to Run and type gpedit.msc
goto / Windows Settings / Local Policies / Security options /
there you find Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL and you can set it to disabled
It's a double negative and setting disable will turn it on.

Hope that helps. You can still swtich users now but it was always like that. Admins could always unlock locked computers.
