When I take off to work, I put my computer to sleep and close the lid. This has worked great for several weeks now. I come home and it is still sleeping away, cool as a cat.

Recently I may have messed something up, and I think it has to do with networking. I leave my computer sleeping, and when I get home, I see it is awake. I open my lid and the computer is really hot from all the trapped heat between the keyboard and screen! Can't be good at all.

Any suggestions on which setting to mess with. I went into power settings and under file sharing I have my laptop set to be able to sleep. Where did I go wrong. What would bring it out of sleep?

    Thanks

Go into Device Manager and check out the properties of each device and make sure nothing is allowed to wake up the computer.

See the attached as an example for the network card.
