I was wondering about enabling Enhanced hard drive performance. it says that it could loose data. what exactly does that mean? Like programs and stuff or just files you might be working on?

I have 2 raid arrays in my box now, one that is the OS/programs and the other that is files. how would this work?

    thanks

With that enabled, it doesn't necessarily write data out to the drive right away. It basically caches a bunch of things to write, then writes them out later. Should you lose power or turn the PC off without a proper shutdown, data can be lost.
