The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. I just wanted to set the record straight about that Time article, once and for all! First, Windows 7 is not going to be the replacement for Vista. Not even close, it is just another addition to the Windows family. Second, Time goofed this one up big time! Vista works great for us all, we ARE Vista Nation! Time magazine had a tech failure of their own with this article! Third, Vista will be around for a long time to come, so get used to it. They need to get their facts straight about Vista, then come talk to us. Vista isn't going anywhere, and neither are we! Long live Vista, long live Deutschland! :D

Thankfully, this thread will be closed soon!

I think everyone has tired of this endless debate.

Debates over which software/OSX/car/planet/person is better go nowhere except bickering and name calling, so those threads will continue to be closed.

There are plenty of reason to choose vista over 7(or XP, OSX, linux) and vice versa. Just choose the best one to match your needs and/or wants.
