Hey guys, just wanted to jump in and tell you about Vistalizator - the program that saved my life (literally! :О ;).
When I first received my notebook, the Windows was in a very different language then the one I'm used to - portuguese. Now, I have a pre-installed Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 and I wanted to use it in english. I searched for some kind of an english MUI (Multilingual User Interface) pack but then realized, that Microsoft have decided to allow only Windows Vista Enterprise/Ultimate users to change their language officially, from the Windows Update service.
I almost lost all hope for "fixing" my Windows (with no offense to the portuguese people - you guys rock! ;P). Then I found out about this program called "Vistalizator" which is meant to provide full system translation to one of 36 MUI's languages or 41 LIP's (Language Interface Pack). That program saved my life. So thread is dedicated to all of ya'll folks out there who want to change their system language. I mean seriously - at least 60% of the people, using Windows Vista aren't using it in their own language because of Microsoft's decision to allow this only on their most expensive versions of Vista.
All you need is the program (you can download Vistalizator at http://www.froggie.sk/download.html ), an original MUI pack or a LIP from Microsoft (download links can be found on the same link you can download Vistalizator from) and the two updates (again from the same link). I don't think I should make a "guide" of how to use the program, because imo it's as simple as it can be. If you have any problems with it you can PM me or use this thread instead.

PS: I'm not the creator of this software or associated with him in any way.

PS2: Whoa, sorry about my long post - I should learn how to express myself in smaller posts. :Р

Well, I think most people actually get an OS that is in their preferred language ;) (except if there is a cheap offer in some other country)

It looks neat - but: I wonder if it isn't against the EULA - I wonder how it works - does it make the installer for the language pack believe its Ultimate/Enterprise, does it read the data from the language pack and apply it by itself?

On another note - long posts aren't a problem (see the free software sticky or my sig - 32Bit/64Bit) - but punctuation and paragraphs do help ;) :)
