Anyone know where I can download this?

The Fire Snake Notebook Virtuoso
Why don't you want the 2008 edition?
-
I agree with Fire Snake, as VS 2008 Express is much better than 2005. The 2008 version can be downloaded from here: http://www.microsoft.com/express/download/
You could even get the 2010 Express Beta from the same place. -

The Intellisense is much improved in 2008 over 2005 and I am not sure how it is improved in 2010. Should be even better.
-
It's because this SDK or API w.e that this company sent me can only be opened by 2005.

Please ignore the drivel below (it seems we can no longer delete our own replies here). A classic case of ready, shoot, aim. I posted the reply below BEFORE I looked at the actual links, which indeed do come direct from a Microsoft server. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.
Since that is not an official Microsoft website, it should not be posted there. Techincally it is a pirate copy. If I were the OP, I'd make sure that you find a hash total for an official instance of this file and compare it with the one on this site. You can never be to safe when downloading from unofficialy site like this.Gary -
Wait is there an x64 version? I keep getting an error saying that the upgrade package cannot find the correct version on my comp.
-
The download is from MS servers when you click the link.

According to wikipedia,
If you can give me the exact error message word for word, i will try to help.
Did you even bother to check the links on that page before posting? I wouldn't have posted it if it wasn't safe. -

Sorry, what an idiot I am. I didn't look at the links themselves. I updted my reply, since it appears we can no longer delete our own replies.

That's the error there.

Fred, you're getting that error because you've downloaded the patches for VS 2005, not VS 2005 itself. The link above provides the patch, not the software.
-
If you're a student, you can get lots of free (and incredibly expensive) Microsoft software via their DreamSpark program. Google it.

Here's a link I just found for 2005 C# express.

Are you sure it's a good link? Not sure if it's infected or anything.
-
I ran the setup for C# and it looked correct, with Microsoft branded .msi's and packages, but I stopped short of finishing the install as I have the full version of 2005 installed already. So no, I'm not sure, but I'm pretty confident that it's fine.
I should also add that McAfee 8.7i Enterprise with on-access scan enabled didn't sound any alarms on my end. Had I not had the full version of 2005 already, I would have continued the installation. I saw nothing to give me any concern. -
That DreamSpark seems real cool, I'm trying it.

Good clarification, made the same mistake.

Speaking of Dreamspark, my college isn't on their list, anyway I can still join it? I was able to use my college email to get that office 2007 deal, so they can still verify that I am a student.
-
I'm pretty sure your college would need to join the dark side by arranging for an MSDN-AA program for all their students. So unfortunately, I think you're out of luck on that point. Perhaps the college does have it, but only for students taking computer-related programs.

I doubt my college has it. I am taking pretty much every computer related program they offer.
