    Volume Notification

    Hiyas!
    Whenever i adjust the volume on my laptop, a volume indicator screen pops up.

    Is there anyway I can prevent this screen from appearing?
    Here is a pic of the volume notification -

    I already have dell quickset that shows the volume meter,

    so i don't really need another thing popping up.

    Disable ehtray.exe from starting at startup via msconfig (Start > Run > msconfig).

    This will also prevent the Media Center button on your remote from working I believe.

    You can do what ChevyNovaLN said or if you still want your remote to work, you might be able to just write some code that utilizes a global system hook to capture the input from the volume button and bypass ehtray.
