My next book 11a just got this error for all secondary micro sd cards. Just when I thought M$ with privacy concerns might be doable. Well now since that is the primary secondary storage I would have used for all work files on a machine if I were dependent on W10 I would be literally screwed. There is no amount of contempt I can express for this company and its OS, they have rendered the machine useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use an SD for secondary files on my little Fujitsu 11' Tablet hybrid, and that would utterly piss me off as well. I am like you, and think I should give windows 10 a chance, but I smack myself upside the head to knock some sense into me. Every time I read posts such as this, it just reminds me what a POS OS it really is.

    1) Can you give me your SD Card's Device ID info

    2) Can you tell me what is the driver version you installed?

After you give me the device info, I'll find the latest driver for you. Then what we wanna do is, uninstall your current SD Card driver and reboot, then go to services.msc, and set the Windows Driver Foundation Service to Automatic rather than manual

Next, we will install the new driver, wait for 30 seconds after the installation of that driver, then reboot even if it doesn't prompt us to

that is it, the system is a generic low cost convertible. there are no specific's. This is what W10 is pushing for and look what it gets us.

Please run the Intel Driver Updater and see if it can find a driver update for your SD Card

I tried that before and again was only given graphic drivers but I did install them this time. It was advised they were older versions than installed but I did it anyway. No SD card, same issue as before.

I have been in contact with Nextbook support. So far I have 4 SD cards, 2 128GB class 10, a 64GB class 10 and a 32GB class 4. The 32GB class 4 works but the others do not. Now all four cards work fine in my daughters Nextbook 10.4 Windows 10 device.

Now this is irrelevant to either exfat or NTFS.

Just got an email from tech support with a RMA. Looks like I will have to send it back in and it is to be replaced.
