Yeah, what they really need to change would result in a two hundred page technical paper. It just goes to show you that it doesn't matter who is in charge, or at least who is CEO, the company still trudges along like it did before.

Signed, though not needed by myself because I have Win 10 Pro. It's a really highly necessary change for all Home users though.

Signed; I'm really curious if anyone at MS is going to give a damn about it.

I whole hardheartedly doubt it. They have been saying for the longest that they listen to their insiders and consumers but only about one thing. That is to make the Store more profitable and saturation of the OS as large as possible. They care nothing about the PC and production with this version as stands. It is a consumable device driven OS and that is about it.

While it works on the PC so they can draw a consumer base it is not geared for the PC. Yes they made it slightly better, and as a GUI acceptable, but they hampered it with so much telemetry for consumption and over all control along with forced hardware updates that for a PC makes this an impossible OS choice for production and local proprietary work. With the telemetry and EULA what is the use of a trade secret? Essentially everything is exposed. As a consumption device you can't even use it for emails, unless all you are getting is spam.

I want to upgrade to 10 but there's no way I'm upgrading with the way it is. The sad part is it will probably only get worse not better. So I will probably end up staying on 8.1 until I buy a new laptop 3 or 4 years from now.
