Ok, so I've been reading through the forum and I've gotten answers to some of my questions, but I still have a few that stand out.
1) If I upgrade (more like clean install) to Windows 7 on my laptop, does that void the warranty it has? It came with 32-bit Vista and I still have 2 more years of warranty for it. If I ever have to send it in for whatever reason, I don't want to give them a reason to say that it's my fault for switching to W7 and that they can't do anything about it. I'm obviously going to ask an XPS rep, but I wanted to ask you guys since it might be an obvious question (haven't had this problem before so it's new to me).
2) I know that if you do the student deal, you only get an upgrade and that you can clean install if you need to. But my question is, if W7 screws up for whatever reason and I want to clean install, does that mean I have to install Vista first THEN Windows 7 in order to do so?
Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Just read another thread from a user who DLed the files.
Seems like it's upgrade only. -

Check this... You can do a "custom install."
Does that = clean install? hmm...
