I have looked everywhere for this image but I can't seem to find it, if someone who has windows 7 ultimate could send me the login screen's background image that'd be great, PM me if you want to help me out.

From what I remember, all of the versions of 7 use the same blue one, which is in "C:\Windows\System32\oobe"
Or, should be anyway. -
Oh I thought that the ultimate one had a different background cause my work computer just got 7 ultimate and the login screen is different then the one on my laptop.
-
Hmm, I have Ultimate and mine is the first one.
-
ah okay.. i think the second one was only for BETA
-
Ahh I figured out what I was looking for they actually came with the Dell computer, they are called chrome and I can't find them anywhere, it was a vostro desktop.

H.A.L. 9000 Occam's Chainsaw
I think build 7022 was the one that incorporated the new styling. -
While the blue background (noted as regular here) is the default image from Microsoft, they allow OEM's like Acer, Dell, HP and Lenovo to incorporate their own custom designs for the Windows 7 login screen. Though of course end users can change their login screens to their own preference too, this is my current one on my Thinkpad.

I guess i'm looking for someone who has a vostro computer and wouldn't mind sending me their backgroud/login screen wallpaper.
-
I'm not sure what the login screen for Vostros look like but maybe this site from Dell could guide you in the right direction? - LINK
-
It was a brand new desktop so maybe it only comes on the newest vostro's im not really sure.
-
wow that looks awesome
this makes me want to change my login background... -
Does it normally change back randomly? I can change mine and then it will change back to the default one after some random amount of time; I've had it stay as long as a week, and as short as a day.
-
It shouldn't do no, my particular boot image has been running for weeks. Try the Win 7 Background Changer if you tried the manual method before.
-
I used to use that same one actually, but went with manual because I figured it would be able to have slightly better quality. The ~250KB limit is a bit harsh when you're running 1920x1080
-
I noticed yu have to actually install it. If you just run it from the zip or place it to a flder and delete the program later you revert to the original.......
-
I made mine black, it looks very nice.
But be warn, if you have a cheap LCD (ie: most TN panels) with backlit bleeding, than it's going to be ugly.
Dell does that on the Latitude Z from what I saw in videos.
Give it a try! -
I think that all login images need to be 24 bit, check it out before you commit to something.
