I was curious if anyone used the ultimate steal to get office 2007 ultimate with Windows 7. It says for windows xp/vista... will it still work?

Office 2007 works fine in Windows 7...it'd be stupid of Microsoft not to ensure full compatibility.

For students from UK I definitely recommend software4students.co.uk. Great deals for a lot of products, especially MS Office.

It's office 2007 ultimate, it's not a special version as far as I know. The EULA (and disk labelling) prevents resale of course.

Net is that Office 2007 Ultimate from theultimatesteal.com works just fine in Windows 7. I've used it on the x86 RC and now x64 Pro (RTM).

when you download it, can you burn a copy of the setup or do you have to pay the extra $$ for the backup dvd?

I don't think you can create bootable disks, although there may be some special way to do that. I just copied the .exe files (there are two of them) to a disk and my backup drive for easy installation down the road.

there is tricks to make a bootable disk. But its not really needed. I just wanted to make sure everything that was needed would be there to copy. But thinking back... thats a pretty stupid question, it would all have to be there wouldnt it. Thanks crash
