    I run Windows 7 Professional x64 and just re-ran WEI last night. I know it's not a benchmark, I'm just curious OK?

    I noticed my scored went down a bit:

    Processor: 7.4->7.1
    Graphics: 6.7->6.3

    The processor was always the i7-820QM and the graphics was upgraded from an ATi 4670 to a 5730. I haven't ran the assessment for a while, but what causes the downfall?

    Could be drivers, could be other programs running in the background. Make sure you're updated across the board (Catalyst 10.7's released yesterday I believe), and there aren't any services or anything eating up CPU cycles in the background.

    I've never installed CPU drivers and I just installed ATi's 10.7 drivers for my video card. There are no updates in Windows Update and it was a fresh boot. Also, I'd say I'm quite good at keeping startup programs/services at bay.

    Probably just a build up of crap that slows the system down.

    Switch to Windows Classic theme (and no other apps open), disable your Antivirus, when running the WEI. This had always produced higher numbers for me. The graphics scores always change for me too.
