Intel has never officially released XP SP3 as a download.
Anything you find is an improperly posted TechNet release or something someone has 'released' on their own. -
But Microsoft has, for select people. (Gotcha)

I've accessed that page before, when I didn't have actual msdn access. Hashes and filenames were visible always. -
ok, after a lot of unsuccessful searches, i happened to borrow my friends retail xp home edition disk. the problem is i know the sticker at the back of my laptop carries an oem key. if i am willing to call up Microsoft and activate my key, do you think it will work??????
-
P.S what other options do i have???? is there some plce where i can use my OEM key to find out what my retail key actually is???? so i dont have to go through the hassle of this eveytime i want to do a clean install?

Try installing using the retail XP disc and using that key on your laptop. Then once you install and activate (will probably have to call MS) you can extract your key using something like magical jelly bean key finder. You can use that if you haven't reformatted yet and get your actual key. Worked for me in the past.
WIn Xp home, file name
