I have a problem on one of my computers where I was going to download a game for my son, and it's hung up and not doing anything. I deleted it from my computer...but it's just stuck in the store saying installing and I cannot stop it. It's causing the rest of the downloads to hang and not install as well. Any ideas to fix this?

    Hello @kojack.

You can either use wsreset (search for it via the search function) to clear the windows store cache or try to sign out and in again.

@kojack: In addition to what @katalin_2003 said, stop windows update service and BITS then use bleachbit and check Update uninstaller and run the cleaner. It will cleanup Windows Update cab files and datastore files which will fix Win store issues.

    Glad to hear it.
Every patch Tuesday update, run these command in admin mode to make your windows slimmer and more slick.
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase

What does that do Vasudev? and do I just type that in the command prompt? One at a time...or just in a line like that? a little help would be great on that one.

It'll free up 3 gb of space after removing older files in WinSxS. Just copy and paste directly to cmd or powershell

Did it stop at 20% and say Completed Successfully? If so, I think W10 cleaned up the mess automagically.

Search for cmd, then right click on it and click Run as administrator. Yeah for system level cleanup or hack you need to run it as root or admin.

Max is 1 hr. I clean it after every patch, so mine takes 5-10 mins. Keep a watch on disk space, you can see more available free space.
