I haven't used Windows 7 in a while (not allowed to install it :|), so just wondering about WMP 12 in Windows 7.

    Just a few questions:
    1) Is it a worthy iTunes replacement at this point?
    2) How's the playback of videos (especially MP4 and Apple-ish formats) and music at this point?

Personally, I don't think WMP is worthy replacement for iTunes because it does not sync your ipod. Although, I do use WMP for watching videos.

I used to use iTunes just because it synced with my iPod but to be honest, WMP is so much better and more optimized. iTunes in Windows is pure bloatware and I use it only when I have to sync songs on my iPod.

I don't have an iPod, but WMP does sync my Sansa Fuze just fine (unlike iTunes I would imagine).

Uh oh... I hope there's still a way to view my playlist side-by-side with my library view... that was something I really like about WMP11... if they took that out I'll be bummed.

I won't complain about the added codec support though.

To put it blunt, WMP12's UI is crap. MS has tried a bit too hard to simplify it from WMP11..
