Here's my problem....
I don't know if this is because of Windows 7 or WMP 12 but this annoying behavior has been occurring and I don't know how to stop it. I got a new laptop and I copied all my songs from my old computer onto the new dv6t.
SO I went to play a few files to test the audio and here's what happens.
1. Under the library tab every single option is unchecked, specifically "Retrieve Additional Information from the Internet" = UNCHECKED
2. Browse to a folder containing a bunch of new mp3 files, each with an embedded image tag.
3. First file opened in WMP creates a folder and AlbumArt jpeg.
4. Subsequent files opened in that folder now use these jpegs displaying the wrong image for the mp3 file.
Here's the thing, I do not want my media library littered with jpegs, I like my files to be portable with any art included within the file.
Now I go into Folder Options and choose to "view hidden files" and I UNCHECKED "hide protected system files"
And it shows that Windows has created a file titled "folder.jpg" and other files. How do I stop it?
Just FYI I have downloaded mp3tag but the program is a little confusing and I'm not sure if it's what I really need to solve this issue.
