It hasn't happened before. Sped up videos were always smooth. Now that I clean-installed Windows I can't speed up any videos without them lagging severely.

If it matters, I'm using Windows 19 on a Clevo P150EM with 3740QM, 16G RAM and a 7970m. I run videos on "High Performance" mode.

Please help, guys. Have I missed a setting?

    thanks

EDIT: Also, I checked the Crimson settings, and WMP is set to "Power Saver" without an option to change that (the tab is grayed out and has a lock next to it).

It's Windows 10 right? Windows 19 troubleshooting would be tricky even with a time machine.

How's the Intel driver working? Have you tried other GPU tasks on the iGPU?

My bad, yes, it is Windows 10. You know I actually just solved the problem :D I was putting the slider outside the blue zone, so I guess it was skipping ahead instead of playing at an increased speed. While in the blue zone it runs just fine. Thanks for offering help!
