My WMP10 cannot seem to play anything at all off the internet. First off, the embedded players in both Firefox and IE are shot. In Firefox, it usually pulls up the embedded player, but the connection, never, EVER works, and this is using tests from all kinds of sites including windowsmedia.com (all of which work on other computers in my house). The same basically happens with IE. The biggest problem occurs when I try to go to http://www.adultswim.com/adultswimfix/index.jsp. For some reason, Firefox shows nothing but black when I click a video on the right, and IE crashes when I try to load the page.

And even in the external player, I get the error telling me WMP cannot find the file and that I should connect to the Internet even though I am. Literally nothing from the web works on WMP. What is going on?

I've tried downloading WMP11, doesn't seem to help, and neither does IE7.

Maybe your internet connection speed isn't very fast. Right click in WMP on the website, and click options. Have a little look around in the options, and see you can spot anything that does not look quite right.

Internet connection's fine, ran a bandwidth meter, hit 1600 kbps. Quicktime works fine. It's just WMP10.

    Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling?
Or maybe you're lacking the correct codes for the specific video you're tryn to play.

Maybe reinstalling WMP10 is the best way to go, or meybe you should try to see if all the plug in files are on the plug in folder of firefox.
Look here for more information or were to get the .dll plug in files:
