Alright so I recently built my own PC desktop. Everything is pretty much working great except when I occasionally start WMP11, I get an error that says "WMP has stopped working." When I get this error, I just try to start it again another one or two times and WMP eventually opens and works naturally.
So this isn't a big deal or anything, but I thought I'd check to get some ideas on this. There are a few issues which I could trace to this, one of them being a movielink download I did when I installed movielink security update for WMP.
Any thoughts? It technically could be anything since I just set this PC up and I've been loading music, videos, etc onto my new system.

Ohhh I know one solution would be to reinstall Vista
No one really likes doing that of course because then you lose all your files and settings that you've set up and it would take hours to get them back up on there.
Remember also that WMV 11 and IE7 are built into Vista and therefore can't be uninstalled in the same way most software is able to be removed and installed again. Unfortunately MS doesn't understand the need to repair issues by being able to remove software problems. -
Do you use Vista or XP? I tried the WMP 11 on XP once, but it crashed almost everytime I tried to play a file...

Vista...it's locked on and can't be removed. I know for XP you can download it and remove it at will. But Vista gives you no options regarding that or Internet Explorer 7 unfortunately.
I think the issue is related to Movielink. Just speculating, but I removed it and I'll see what it does now.
