WinDVD, Real Player, Windows media, Sonic; which is best and why?

I personally use PowerDVD. All will work fine. If you are looking for some freeware, VideoLan is good.
-
Yes, I also use PowerDVD, it came with my mobo for my desktop.
It works fine, and can play most things. Windows Media sometimes doesn't work, but PowerDVD can play most anything.

i use the Cyberlink PowerDVD.

Intervideo WinDVD that came with my Fujitsu, i use it to play all my .avi files (full season's of Samurai Champloo and Ghost in the Shell) works great and i can adjust alot if i want to.

I use Windows Media Player with the NVidia DVD Decoder. Sometimes it gets annoying messing with it, but I don't need any advanced features. It works.
I may switch to WinDVD 7 soon. The end of my trial for the NVidia Decoder is fast approaching. -
Currently using PowerDVD (because it was bundled with my laptop).
I am planning to give a shot to Windows Media Player -
I don't undertstand the point in installing additional software to play DVD's. windows Media Player will do the job just as well. If you want some specific software to play DVD's. I would get some software that foes more than just play DVD's. Such as Apple quicktime player pro. It has some great recording functions and things like that.
