Does anyone know of an app that will monitor the wattage that a notebook is using? I would think there is something out there, but I cannot seem to find it.

    Thanks,

    Ross

When running on battery you can use the battery info page of RMClock to monitor power during battery discharge / charge. MobileMeter will draw a power consumption graph but doesn't work with Vista.

If you want to monitor power drain when running on mains you can use a mains power meter.

best way to know is to use what was recommended, a meter at the wall, though that only tells you the AC and not what the system is actually drawing (DC). Mind you, you pay the power company for AC power so....

Seasonic Power Angel is a good tool to have not just for notebooks but for other things around the house as well.
