    Hi All

I am looking for a free (aren't we all) or 'resonably' price "Home Page" web site builder. I don't need the muscle of Dream Weaver or Front Page.

I am fairly technical , lots of programming / Database and Unix scripting skiils - but am pretty much a neophite with html development. I just want to play - build a home page and maybe expand from there.

I was looking at Yahoo Site Builder (free) and SiteSpinner2 (15 day free trial about $50.00 I think)

Anybody got any other suggestions ?

    thx........dy

I just used notepad as my editor, and used sources from the web to learn html. w3schools.com is a good site that has example code that you can copy and paste directly to your site.

I've tried yahoo's software, but I didn't like it that much.

Thanks I am not sure this is a hill I want to climb (learning HTML / CSS/ RSS / Perl / more tla's ) - hard enough to keep current in my 'bis ..

I was looking more for a tool with drag and drop , templates , with the flexiabilty to get down and dirty if required.

What did you not like about Yahoo ?
