This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Ever so often my comp doesnt access certain websites, then ill try it again like 2 wks later itl would work. im trying to access Niketalk.com right now and it hasnt worked for a few days. any tips?

    Sometimes servers go down.

    Some servers will block specific IP's that are suspected of being bots in DDos attacks. If your PC has been acting strange in the past few months, or you think you may have a "virus", then that could be it.

    Also look under your list of blocked sites in Internet Explorer by going into Tools--->Internet Options--->Privacy--->Sites (just look for those keywords).

    I've been getting those connection has timed out several times a day for over a month in Firefox. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. I think it's probably my ISP, but not for sure.
