    Hey Everyone,

I keep 2 music libraries in my computer. One in i tunes, and another in Windows Media Player. Yesterday I opened up Media Player and found that all my music was gone. Literally, *poof* vanished. I didn't buy any of the songs, I uploaded them from CDs. So st least I'm not out any $$$, but it would be a real pain to have to upload them all again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

    Even I have 9....

    Anyway:
File > Add to Media Library > By Searching computer.

    That should do ya.

I wouldn't use 7, 10, or 11. WMP sucks. Use either winamp or foobar.

Personally I'd use Media Monkey, but that's not what they're looking for, they're looking for advice on fixing their WMP7 db.

What version of Windows are you using? I thought XP started with WMP9

^ My solution may be a bit different 'cos it's a different version, but I'm confident it's right.
Try going into media library and see if there's an add/scan button there alternatively

    No problem, any time.
Your WMP Database was for some reason corrupted. It happens - but it's no biggy
